How to:   Order Stonerose Publications If your order is for 10 or more copies of mixed titles, or 5 copies of a single title, your order qualifies for wholesale pricing---use the Wholesale Order Form. Otherwise, you must use the Retail Order Form. Print out the corresponding order from from your web browser, fill it in, and mail it with your check or money order to Stonerose. See the Ordering Information for more details. If you order directly (using the order form on this site and mail a check directly to Stonerose) you get free shipping and a mult-title discount. On one book, that is (in effect) a $3.49 discount, on two books that is an $8.98 discount, on three books a $14.47 discount, as compared to an order through Amazon.   If you order 5 or more copies of one title (or 10 mixed copies), you qualify for wholesale pricing---which is a huge discount.

Credit Card Sales: Order from the vendor "Stone books" on Amazon.com. Amazon will charge you the retail price plus $3.49 per book for shipping. Or, several of my resellers accept credit cards, and may offer a better price than I do (as "Stone Books") on Amazon. Please note that the prices and policies described on this website are for direct purchases do not apply to purchases from resellers.

"Vendor Information" (required from Stonerose by governmental agencies, etc.)

As W-9 (or equivalent) forms do not require my signature---do not send Stonerose W-9 forms.

If you absolutely require a signed W-9 form, then purchase books from one of my resellers, and request the W-9 from the reseller.

All orders requiring an invoice, or otherwise purchase orders not accompanied by a check in the correct amount will be assessed a $10 per order processing fee. This does not apply to minor arithmetical errors---albeit, checks for less than the full amount due will be returned with a note explaining the error.

We reserve the right to refuse orders from unfamiliar vendors which do not include prepayment. Prepayment required on all international orders.

If you wish to avoid the processing fee, consult your purchasing agent or administrative assistant. Otherwise, I suggest that you purchase Stonerose books from one of my resellers.

How to: Request an evaluation copy Use the Retail Order Form. To keep our sales prices as low as possible, we do not offer free evaluation copies. However, you are welcome to examine evaluation copies at no risk. Stonerose will refund your purchase price and your return shipping if you decide not keep your evaluation copy (subject to the terms specified in the Ordering Information).

How to: Submit corrections, suggestions, etc. The Information Submission Form will probably be the most convenient way for you to submit information on a site which is not listed in the current edition of A Guidebook to Mining in America, or to submit corrections. Print out the Information Submission Form from your web browser, then fill it out, and fax, mail or email (as an attachment) it to Stonerose.

How to: Expand the entry for your museum or site: Just submit information, illustrations, or photos to Stonerose. There is a very good chance that they will appear in the next edition. See "Descriptions" in the Information Submission Information for a more detailed description of the information and materials you may wish to submit to expand the entry for your museum.

How to get Free Books!!! 1) Purchase a book or books directly from Stonerose. 2) Write a normal length, fair review. 2) Publish the review at Amazon.com, bookreview.com, or in a magazine (electronic or printed) with a substantial readership. 3) Submit proof that your review has been published (e.g., a photocopy of printed reviews, or a URL of online reviews). 4) Stonerose will remimburse your full purchase price, and you'll qualify for a complimentary copies of new books as they are published. Policies are flexible and reasonable restrictions apply (e.g., limit of 5 reviews [from different authors] on sites such as Amazon.com which post multiple reviews).
